OpenDX Training Course

May 21-24, 2001
Athens, Georgia

VIS, Inc. will conduct a three and a half day OpenDX training course at the visualization lab at the University of Georgia in Athens. During the first two and a half days, instructors will cover beginner and intermediate OpenDX topics. The last day of the course is reserved for students to work with their own data with the assistance of the instructors. Please see VIS, Inc. training information for more details on course content.

Travel Information:

The University of Georgia is 75 miles from Atlanta's Hartsfield International Aiport. Shuttle service is available from the airport to the university. We recommend staying at the Georgia Center Hotel, which is approximately a 3 to 5 minute walk to the visualization lab. For additional travel information please visit the Georgia Center web page.

Additional details concerning directions and class times will be announced later. For those planning return flights, the class will end by noon on May 24th.

Registration:

Please contact VIS, Inc. at sales@vizsolutions.com if you are interested in attending the training course as soon as possible. There are a limited number of seats. The course registration fee of $1200 can be paid with credit card, check or purchase order.

Registration Policy:

VIS, Inc. will confirm the course as soon as a minimum of 3 students register. If VIS, Inc. cancels the course, then 100% of the registration fee will be refunded. If you cancel your registration, you will be charged a $50 nonrefundable processing fee. After class confirmation and before May 14, 2000, cancellations will receive a 75% refund. Cancellations made between May 14 and 18, will receive a 50% refund. Any cancellations after May 18 will not receive a refund. All forfeited registration fees, except the processing fee, may be applied to future training courses conducted by VIS, Inc.

Butte, Montana

VIS, Inc. will conduct a three and a half day OpenDX training course using computer facilities at Montana Tech of The University of Montana. During the first two and a half days, instructors will cover beginner and intermediate OpenDX topics. The last day of the course is reserved for students to work with their own data with the assistance of the instructors. Please see VIS, Inc. training information for more details on course content.

Travel Information:

Air travelers can fly directly to Butte with regional jet service from Salt Lake City and Seattle. For those planning return flights, the class will end by noon on June 1st. Nearby, alternative airports include Helena (70 miles), Bozeman (80 miles) and Missoula (120 miles). Those wishing to visit Yellowstone National Park before or after the class may want to consider flying into Bozeman, which has direct flights to/from Salt Lake City, Seattle, Denver, and Minneapolis.
